Poverty Forum Meets

The Poverty Forum met in March to investigate Universal Credit and it’s possible impact after full roll out in October 2017 (commencing in the East of the County).  Key issues arose from the day covering the need to be aware of what is on offer for customers.  The need for a multi-agency response was highlighted along with a new self help and community approach over that of state help.  For the Inclusion Cornwall team we welcomed the call to listed to our customers.  Our  very own Ruth Clarke  from Cornwall’s Residential Landlords Association (Steering Group Member) spoke highlighting changes to payments.
