A Dose of Nature in Cornwall: Consultation Document for a Nature-on-Referral Service

Today, Cornwall Council and Partners are releasing a consultation on a new proposal, a referral service that will help Cornwall residents get a ‘dose of nature’.  The proposal sets out an approach for establishing a hub that will coordinate and support work in this rapidly growing area; using our superb natural environment to make real changes in peoples’ health and wellbeing.

To do this all sorts of partners are coming together to create a plan – thinking like this is about making gains environmentally, socially and economically.  This is very much in line with the Environmental Growth Strategy, as well as the emerging Sustainability and Transformation Plan for the health and care sectors.

Your views will be vital in taking this work forward. We have included the full consultation document and a summary on the webpage for those whose time is limited: http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/doseofnature

Please send this email on to those you think might also have something to contribute to this discussion; we welcome all comments, and would be grateful to receive them online, using the link on the web page.  Please provide your initial feedback by 17.00 on Friday 10th July, although the consultation will stay open until September to provide plenty of time for feedback from partners. If you have queries please contact cioslnp@cornwall.gov.uk.
