Inclusion Cornwall pig out at the farm….

The Inclusion Cornwall team attended the Boscawen Farm Open Day with ROC and United Response to see in more detail the great support being provided to people with learning disabilities in Cornwall.  Participants at the farm are supported in carrying out farming activities with the aim of developing a wide range of practical and team building skills. The farm covers 40 acres and is open 7 days a week.

The team had a good look around the farm and met the participants and volunteers.   ROC, which has been operating for 26 years, was able to share with the team and other guests their ambition for (and with) people with learning disabilities in Cornwall.

Andrea Gilbert, Inclusion Cornwall Manager, said, “It is great to see ROC increasing their activities in Cornwall with the support of local businesses and providing the people they support with improved life opportunities. The farm is a great example of positive, enjoyable and practical support for people with learning disabilities and we thoroughly enjoyed experiencing it close up.”
