Equality and Diversity for Cornwall
Cornwall’s Vision on Equality and Diversity:
“Our vision is for Cornwall to be a place where equality, opportunity and fairness are available to all; where we value everyone’s cultural heritage, celebrate diversity in all its forms and create an environment where all individuals and communities, regardless of need, want or aspiration, have an equal chance of realising their full potential.”
Cornwall Equality and Diversity Network is a network of organisations who are interested in, or involved with, equality, diversity and inclusion, in Cornwall. Many members are voluntary organisations which work with, represent or support groups which can be marginalised. Some members are organisations which work with people from across society, and want to make sure that they are including everyone, as far as it is possible to do so. Some organisations are public sector bodies which have a duty to include all, and are hoping to ensure that they engage with all groups of people as far as possible.

Where CEDN comes from and where we’re going
When this group was formed in 2018, Objectives were established, for 2018-2022.
We conducted a Review of the progress towards those objectives during 2021.
Future objectives
Our future focus will be on three areas of work:
Networking, Collaboration and Co-creation. CEDN will seek to bring the E&D focused organisations and people across Cornwall together in order to present a strong and unified voice, and to work collaboratively on initiatives to effect progress and change
Championing and Campaigning. CEDN will promote issues that impact E&D across Cornwall, and it will challenge agencies and organisations to operate and deliver to the highest standards of E&D.
Knowledge, Intelligence and Data. CEDN will collect, collate and communicate information that increases the awareness, understanding and measurement of E&D, both within its network and across private, public and third sector agencies
