Previous Projects

Here are a selection of our previous projects, which have now closed, but which provide an interesting snapshot of work we have been involved with.

  • Inclusion Matters – Inclusion Cornwall is delighted to be part of Inclusion Matters (Social Inclusion Service) led by Cornwall Rural Community Charity, that launched in 2019. We look forward to linking with Empowering Independence Service
  • Cornwall Homeless Hospital Discharge Service – Supporting Homeless People with Safe and Timely Discharge from Hospital
  • Health Inclusion – A myriad of factors influence well-being, including health and work, which themselves can be intimately related
  • Digital Inclusion – Digital inclusion is an issue that has come to the fore since the coronavirus pandemic struck, forcing people to interact online for more purposes, and in greater numbers, than ever before
  • Cornwall Works 50+ and Cornwall Works 50+ Cares – (2017) – two programmes supported through the ESF Convergence Innovation Transnational and Mainstreaming programme aimed at overcoming barriers to employment for workless people aged 50+
  • Scilly Works – part of the Village Works project, specifically targeting the Isles of Scilly
  • EU Settlement Scheme – support for EU passport-holders to gain residence in the UK post-Brexit
  • Migrant Workers – The Cornwall Migrant Workers group, supporting workers from EU countries
  • Cornwall takes Tea – celebrating diversity in Cornwall by sharing a simple cuppa with others
  • Multi-agency training 2016, 2017 – For partners across Cornwall working around inclusion

Village Works

  • Village Works – Village Works is an initiative that has been running for more than ten years in Cornwall, at a local level, to get the most economically excluded and unemployed better skilled, more confident and with more self-esteem and so make the most of what they have to get into, or back into, work.

  • Village Works Bude and Camelford – Village Works operates in the Bude and Camelford areas, including all the villages and hamlets in those Cornwall Council Community Network Areas
  • Village Works Helston and the Lizard – Village Works operates in Helston and the wider Lizard area, including all the villages and hamlets in the Cornwall Council Community Network Area
  • Village Works Policies – Village Works will ensure no one is left behind, the programmes aim to help more people towards work and into work, volunteering and to increase people of all ages working in inclusive lives
