Christmas support 2021

This is a growing list of support and activities that are taking place across Cornwall this festive season, for those who are vulnerable or in need. Please let us know any activities that you want to add here – they must be FREE – by emailing Bev bev.wilson@cornwall.gov.uk

Food support

Volunteer Cornwall has a comprehensive list of Christmas meals, and Christmas events taking place across Cornwall, as well as opportunities to volunteer, or participate in giving, this festive season.

These include a Christmas day meal at Treverbyn Community Hall, and Kernow Connect’s Christmas fun activities, which we are not including here, to avoid reinventing the wheel.

If you have any activities or meals, then please get in touch with either them or us.

Homelessness support

Countywide

St Petrocs will again be running its Winter Service in a dispersed fashion, housing people temporarily in hotels and B&B’s, as close to where they present in Cornwall as possible. Where individuals are in our temporary accommodation, we will project services out to them including food. Our resettlement teams will be signposting people to voluntary organisations in Truro and Penzance for food over the Christmas period and beyond so as not to duplicate work.

To refer someone, contact the St Petrocs Team or use the Streetlink app on Google play or Apple.
