Preventing fuel poverty in Cornwall – Inclusion Cornwall partner speaks at national conference 

Anthony Ball from Public Health Cornwall Council tells a national conference today how a partnership in Cornwall has helped the lives of 10,000 people in the county, preventing fuel poverty and ensuring people stay in work. He will share the successes of the Winter Wellness project which has prevented 670 hospital admissions and provided emergency funds for 900 households.

The unique approach brings together improving health, tackling fuel poverty and getting people back to work.

The First National Central Heating Fund Seminar is being held at Whitehall Place in London and includes delegates from around the country. Attendees will share best practice and discuss strategies to prevent fuel poverty and improve winter wellbeing.
