Inclusion Cornwall AGM

You are cordially invited to the Inclusion Cornwall AGM on Friday 8 October, 10am-12noon at Heartlands, Pool.

Heartlands

Our focus this year will be Equality and Diversity, which is more important than ever against the backdrop of news images of Afghani refugees arriving in the UK, the ongoing work taking place connected to the Black Lives Matter campaign, and the divisions in our society brought into focus by Brexit.

Our Chair Councillor Mike Thomas will be speaking about the last year of Inclusion Cornwall, and we are delighted to welcome speakers from Black Voices Cornwall sharing their work locally, and major Bude employers GCHQ, who have been working with us on the Village Works project there this year.

Membership of Inclusion Cornwall is open to any organisation that:

  • Positively and pro-actively promotes inclusion in Cornwall
  • Is a role model and leader for inclusive practice
  • Wants to make a bigger difference for people through a voice
  • Constructively challenges practice and policy in Cornwall that is non-inclusive

If your organisation isn’t yet a member, come along anyway, and take part in the conversations. This AGM is traditionally an opportunity for the movers and shakers in inclusion in Cornwall to network and share ideas.

(You can join as a member here.)

Members are eligible to be part of the Inclusion Cornwall Steering Group, and existing steering group members will be re-elected at the AGM unless they request not to be.

Parking will be free for AGM attendees, and there will be light refreshments for all.

Please let us know if you have any specific access or dietary requirements.

To find Heartlands, see the directions on their Contact us page. The car park is adjacent to the main site, and accessed via a different entry road. Disabled parking is on the main access road, nearer to the Chi an Bobel building where the AGM will take place.

Please share our poster with others you think might be interested.
