Village Works Christmas Parties 2021

It has been a long and challenging year for many over 2021, and in the last few days, Village Works has opened their doors and thrown a pair of Christmas Parties.  In the preceding weeks the offer of Hot Chocolate, Gingerbread people and other Sweet Treats was made, with posters and social media posts dotted about widely. And so on 13th December in Bude, and 16th in Helston, parties were held, with a ready supply of seasonal cheer and friendly banter.

At both parties there was was a steady stream of guests popping in, some journeying from far and wide, for a hot drink and a bite to eat. Some were familiar Customers to the Village Works Team, some brought their relatives with them to enjoy the break.  Some welcome new faces came along too and over the hours that the doors were open, and all seemed to enjoy their time connecting and re-connecting.

With lots of social distancing, and some cheerful Christmas decorations, here was Bude’s party:

Here was Helston’s party:

Village Works hopes to be throwing parties in the New Year, this time with hot soup and a crusty bread roll, to complement a warm and friendly welcome, as the January weather bites.  So do please pop in. If you are in the vicinity, you will be most welcome.

These are dependent on the government guidelines – watch this space for details. This is the plan at the moment:

Helston’s New Year party will be on Thursday 6th January, 11am-2pm at the Methodist Church Hall

Bude’s New Year party will be on Monday 17th January, 2-4.30 at the Parkhouse Centre
